This year we decided that Mallory was old enough to start dying eggs. She did pretty well for the most part. I think only two colors got spilled. She was very meticulous about what colors she used and when the eggs were done. As she put it, she was "cooking" them.
Easter morning she got to go through her Easter basket to see what the Easter Bunny had brought her and then a little later that afternoon, my parents came over and we decided to hide some eggs. We weren't sure if she would get the idea or not, but she did! She found one and then was on the search for the rest. She ended up finding them all and then wanted more, so we hid a few more. We had used real eggs which I'm not sure was the best at this age because she decided to smash them together or would throw eggs in her basket on top of the other eggs, so there were some cracked eggs. Not too big of a deal considering we just ate them later. All in all, Easter was a success this year! Here are some pictures:

P.S. As I was posting this, Mallory came over to look and was once again talking about "cooking" her eggs. This little girl never forgets anything! :)
