Since we had Mallory, we have decided that we are going to have a family tradition of cutting down our Christmas tree. Last year Mallory was only 6 months when we went out, but this year at 18 months, she had a different experience. For the most part, she wanted to eat the snow. Every time we set her in the snow she would start to cry, until she realized that she could grab the snow and munch away. It didn't take us too long to find our tree and Brent got to work cutting it down.
Next came time for our annual family Christmas photo. Most of you have already seen these, but here they are anyway.
Next came Christmas. We spent part of our morning at home, opening up gifts together and checking to see what Santa brought. When Mallory woke up that morning, I asked her if she wanted to see what Santa brought her and she simply replied "no." She doesn't quite understand him yet. And his name isn't Santa, it's Henry after a friend of my dad's who looks like Santa. After our small Christmas at home, we headed to my parents house. My dad made Mallory a chair with cup holder for Christmas and included a water bottle with it. The bottle was the favorite gift. She carried it everywhere and from the photos, you can see that she never put it down.
I mentioned earlier that my dad made Mallory a chair for Christmas. Well, he also made her a sled. The sled is awesome and she loves it! When it is mentioned, you had better take her for a ride, or you won't hear the end of it. She gets her blanket out and off they go! These pictures were taken by her dad on a very bright day. Still cute, just a little bright!
I will leave you with a few random pictures that have been taken for no particular reason other than we have a cute daughter!
