Blessing Mallory

Saturday was a very special day. We had Mallory blessed. When Brent and I got married, we had Raleigh perform our ceremony. We absolutely loved everything about our ceremony, that is so personal to us and everything that we wanted for our marriage. After talking quite abit about baptism, we decided to talk to Raleigh about it. She performs blessings and after hearing about them, we knew 100% that this is what we wanted. After months of planning, the day was finally here, July 11, 2009. Raleigh and Larry drove to Bozeman from Nine Mile Falls, WA and Brent's family joined us for this very special occasion. Brian, Brent's older brother, is Mallory's Godfather and my best friend Annie, is her Godmother. Since Brent and I both love the outdoors, we decided to have the blessing on the bank of the Madison River. Nothing like the river flowing behind us on this special day.

Here is our spot:

The cousins who helped during the ceremony.
Mallory just being happy at the beginning of the ceremony.
Enjoying the water and toys placed in front of her.
Now loving the bubbles and fruit and veggies to eat.
Raleigh sprinkling us with Holy Water.
A group shot. As you can see, Annie is not present. Unfortunately due to circumstances we weren't able to control, Annie was not able to attend in person, but she was on the phone for the whole ceremony. The plan is to come later this summer and spend some time with her Goddaughter.

Raleigh spending a little time with Mallory.
And one final full family shot.
Thank you all for sharing this day with us! And Raleigh, Thank you so much for making this day so special! We appreciate and love you so very much!

  1. What a perfect day. The weather was great, the ceremony was great and we had a nice picnic lunch afterwards with the family. A special day for a special baby girl, Mallory.
